half giddy now

HPN (see previous post) works as advertised. Transfer speeds over transatlantic lines did indeed go up, by nearly a factor 10. That's for basic scp transfers though. For transfers with unison over ssh, there is some gain, probably by a factor 2 .. a bit disappointed still.

How does it compare to rsync? What about SVK?

Different tools for different purposes! We use all 3, SVK for versioned data, rsync for one way transfers (builds typically) and unison for two way syncs (generated data, results from offline processes like map compiles).

I'll mark down to make a more complete writeup sometimes

Hallo, excuse me for this my off topic, I would like to know if there will be a beta program for ETQW and Linux. I'm going mad with Wine and ETQW for Windows ._.
Thanks in advance

GCV: While I don't mind discussing technical aspects of my work here, don't expect me to go into specific details about our games, game features and release schedules. This is just not the appropriate place for that, and such things have to go through official channels.
